The Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health has issued its first factory licence processed through the online portal https://dish.tn.gov.in to M/s Krishna Wood Works, Alandur, a press release said. The portal was created exclusively for the department at a cost of Rs. 1.81 crore. The first licence was issued throuh the portal on May 6.
This online portal will streamline the activities of the Directorate and facilitate ease of doing business to the management. A number of services including issue of license under Factories Act, 1948, approval of plans under Factories Act, 1948, will be available with e-payment facility wherever applicable, the release said.
